@Halime, regarding people dying on placebo, you do understand they are getting the best possible care, no one wants them to die. And that best possible care is reducing that number as times goes by.
What we are trying to do is increase the numbers of those that live, to bridge the gap. Even when survival gets to 90% on best possible standard of care there will still be room for someone who can stop the other 10% from dying.
We don't need people to die, we need people to live.
