To be fair, ANZ were seeking an outcome. One can only assume this implies some level of culpability, but this was made impractical by other parties such as ML. Pure speculation but this was borne out in a fairly believable discussion I had with FH.
However, ANZ directors may need the latest MI5 fitout of their Aston Martins to get out of the Brissie shareholders meeting in one piece. Many unhappy campers may seek to uncover a little bit more about what is really going on in that boardroom of theirs.
Despite all of this, the undying question remains, where are our corporate government regulators? Calling them hopeless does not even seem to be defamatory in the eyes of those who so gracisously keep an eye on what we say to one another here.
