@WangChung; one lesson to be learned from what happened to Germany after both WW1 and WW2 and Japan after WW2 is that a highly skilled / trained people are very good at bouncing back even of they've been stripped of 'defence' forces altogether.
Massive spending on warmongering did NOT win the Germans either WW1 or WW2, nor did it do so for the Japanese. It didn;t even enable the US and Australia to win 'The Vietnam War', let alone what's happening throughout the Middle East.
Australia would be far better advised to be investing more in our young people instead of wasting $Countless $Billions on US WMDs and by weighing young people down with debts many will never be able to repay that will mean they are NOT even stakeholders in Australia.
