Why did I buy them ?. Certainly not on price. Simply because that has been all that is available lately. As an example I have paid $95 for my saceteurs whereas the Chinese made copy sells for $20. They'll cut wire and tin plate and then still prune a half inch hard wood bush. (made in Germany. Tools early on after the war made in Germany were cheap and rubbish but they got their act together) As someone pointed out earlier, goods that were made in Australia are now made in China using the same brand name. eg Sidchrome tools.
