@moondoong; when he became Premier Jeff Kennett used the media to scare the pants off Victorians re the future of public servant's superannuation. He went on to slash and burn the system and forced most people into 'The New Scheme', except for those about to retire. Fortunatley and despite his attitude to teachers and nurses Kennett stopped short of defaulting on their superannuation.
Of course politicians were protected and if anything did even better than before and have never looked back.
