That's a pathetic argument and a poor attempt at spin.
Why would they shut down those pillars ? They have a responsibility to their shareholders so they are not going to shutdown fossil fuel sales tomorrow. It is not illegal to sell fossil fuels and the world absolutely needs fossil fuel today. It would be totally irresponsible and devastating for the world if they shutdown fossil fuel sales immediately.
The advice of the scientists is to reduce emissions. Not get rid of emissions completely. So, a responsible company looking after it's shareholders while transitioning to a lower emission business is the sensible thing to do.
