    Hi Aussie,

    Thanks for your thoughts, you probably know a lot more than me about this as I am just kind of thinking aloud, and a little bit of knowledge can be a dangerous thing.

    However, with the scenario that you are talking about with the relative price of Suez charges being much larger now with less /per day charges for ship hire..... wouldn't that create a massive drop in traffic through the Canal, rather than the smaller one scene already?

    ie. no one would go through Suez canal now, since it is much cheaper to drive around. Rather, to what you see now, where going through the canal is still an economically viable root for 85%+ of traffic.
