Until now I've presumed, without question, that the Amero when it does come will be just another fiat currency.
I've just questioned that!
Just suppose that -
1. conversion rate is 1 Amero = US$100 (or 200, 300, 500 whatever) - which instantly slashes America's foreign debt, and
2. The Amero is not fiat, but actually redeemable currency - and therefore, as the only non-fiat currency in the world, hugely attractive to and demanded by every country.
What backing? - Probably gold, perhaps silver or even platinum or something, but certainly a precious metal of some type.
Perhaps consider that this has been the plan for many years, and that the current situation is not due to foolish actions by those in control, but rather a planned step towards immense wealth for those who have amassed the mines, land, supplies of the metal in question eg gold. (I'm thinking of the huge players - Rockefeller, Morgan, Rothschild et al .... who haven't got to where they are by being foolish.)
Just a thought - but certainly does make considerable sense to me.
