I will keep this short as i am looking into it very slowly...lol but i thought this may interest you, though slightly off thread topic and may suggest empirical thought, though i like to think its an unstudied observation.

I have mentioned it to Volt awhile ago and have not progressed much further. Corresponding Astronomers are a laid back lot and information is limited. Though im always skeptical of information on Wikpedia you can get some basic info there.

17P aka Comet Holmes.

First sighted in 1892 same year as Kondratieff's birth. It has an orbit of approximately 7 years, a bit less actually and i think it can vary a bit.

Check the history of its orbit past earth and stock market crashes, it appears more than average at first glance. Last visible orbit past earth late 2007 Oct-Dec (?). Next visit past earth is mid/late 2013, roughly.

Cycles, waves, orbits, gravity, emotions, etc - make sense?

I will post any further discoveries in due course, dont hold your breath though..lol
