A growing consensus in New York is that we have probably hit the bottom of the market and that western economies will be growing by the second half of next year. The BOE and ECB should cut rates in the next couple of days, and with markets anticipating a growth story next year we should see a move up in the new year.
Shorting is enabled by a large holder of shares (insto or broker) lending you their shares at a given interest rate for a limited period of time to sell(short). At some stage you buy back the shares and transfer those shares back to the lender. There is really no way to stop this practice. I think we just have to live with it.
I listened to boardroom radio chat with Stewart Elliot and was impressed. The expansion was completed successfully and Indonesia want another 130MW to be added over the next 21 months because of demand. With over $250m in the bank, Sengkang's expansion leading to much higher profits, the mini-LNG facility operating in the 4th qtr next year and $400m/yr profit from that, we will see an enormous share price by then($5+). Hasn't anyone the patience to wait a year for a huge payoff. Personally the lower it goes the better as I will be loading up in about March next year when I have some spare cash.
EWC has nowhere to go but up.
