Silicon Anodes are at least 6-7 years away from commercialisation. What you want to make money on now is Graphite - Silicon products like Novonix PUREgraphite anode material, where they insert the silicon particles to keep it stable. Without the PUREgraphite, the silicon destroys the battery in 3-4 cycles.

So Novonix has a signed MOU with Sanyo/Panasonic for Tesla, but Tesla is also planning on building the Terafactory and becoming an EV and Grid Storage Battery Manufacturer very soon too. So we should expect a direct agreement between Novonix and Tesla for the massive 1000GWh battery plant either in the Mid West USA.Novonix has been qualifying their PUREgraphite and Electrolyte battery materials for over 18 months with multiple battery makers from the volume production plant where they could place orders.

From the 14 min mark, Mr St Baker mentions Novonix's Breakthrough, "already filed a patent silicon infused graphite"(this was 18 months ago).

He goes on to discuss the problems of Silicon anode and how Novonix has solved this with their breakthrough. This is why Elon Musk tweeted his comment about Carbon-Silicon before deleting it a couple of weeks ago.
