I agree, the debt is being transferred from credit card providers to fintech providers, but it's still there. I signed up with ZIP pay to see how they assess your credit rating, it was better then I thought, you provide your bank account number & BSB, it appears they can then scan through your statements and assess your financial health and then allow a borrowing limit or approve a purchase.
I wonder is CCP talking to these fintech's about collecting the inevitable debt does anyone know?
