In general terms,
Do you think that any money that flows in can be counted as revenue? Yes or no?
To be more specific, let me reword the question by incorporating a very specific scenario: Imagine I am company A and I give you $1. You then return that same $1 with 5 cents subtracted as a reward for your participation in the scheme thus bringing the total returned to 95 cents. Is it okay for me to record that 95 cents as revenue, especially if company A is a listed company? Yes or no? Please explain if your answer is yes.
