Hi mate, cannot tag you as cannot spell your nickname.
Give IG Markets a go, I have been with them just a couple of weeks and have not looked back. The only thing is you do not get the breadth and depth that Commsuc Viewpoint provides which is why I keep mine alongside my IG page. All you get is the top 5 buys/sells and live charts for $20 a month. Well worth it. As far as I can work out they include Chi-X but sometimes the live price may vary just a touch between the two platforms but has made no difference to me. I have had all three platforms open (Commsuc, Viewpoint and IG) simultaneously and I can see that only Commsuc does not include Chi-X trades.
Trades are just $5 up to 10k I believe, personally probably will never get to trade over that limit anyway. Makes a huge difference to bottom line when say a 2k trade would cost $40 in Commsuc and just $10 in IG in and out. You need to make 2% to break even v. 0.5%.
The chart page has the buy/sell ticket right on it and is so easy to trade in just a couple of clicks. I found out yesterday that I can also trade penny stocks on the NYSE for no commission/brokerage, but beware the exchange rate; still yet to work this one out.
You are able to open a CFD Demo account which is what I did to practice before opening a real account, unfortunately no demo account for stocks, but the pages are virtually the same.
Had to provide no ID, just my credit/debit card. Deposits are instant and the two withdrawals I have made took two working days.
They have an extensive help section and also the IG Academy is apparently worth looking at (this weekend for me).
You need to have the cash to be able to trade, unlike Commsuc, but also unlike Commsuc, you can use the funds from the sale immediately, no waiting for T+2. This suits me as I got into shyte once with Commsuc as I did not have funds available on the day and it cost me a black mark for years, severely limiting my trading.
Anyway, that is just my experience with one trading platform, I know it sounds like an ad, but I really have no experience with others except Commsuc so have nothing to compare it with.
    Cheers
