VTG is the mind blower I suspect, which is only possible with a MMB. Posters may not be aware of the VHS/BETA wrangle many years ago. It isnt always the best system that gets up, it can be the one that is adequate and dominant in market position. Elon only needs an MMB for EV's , so as long as he uses an anode and cathode that gives him an MMB it doesnt matter what everyone else uses. GSS is a different story, here every extra charge is needed as they will be used until they die so a 2MMB would dominate the market. If Elon can produce an MMB with current tech then he doesnt need to change that for EV's for the decade or so that LIO will dominate the EV market. If the tech is good and durable and does the job then the fact that there are better alternatives is of little consequence. Who wants a car that will last 30 yrs. Feral
