Furthermore, it's hard to describe how bearish I am..
What is going to happen in the commercial property space?
With half vacant malls? From Covid, plus online shopping growing exponentially?
What is going to happen to CBD office tower space?
As every company figure's out they can probably make do with 50% of 2019 sqm or less? As they refine working from home?
Losses in commercial property are going to be enormous.
Who will absorb these losses?
Lets move onto to Education.
International student numbers will go down. How much is unclear, but the whole education sector is in trouble.
Let's move onto travel and tourism.
Do I need to say anything there?
Each of these 3 sectors are a large part of the economy, and they are all getting crushed.
I haven't even touched on the residential property market which looks vulnerable.
I haven't touched on Australia's aggregate indebtedness.
Australia is absolutely destined for a solid recession at best, and I don't think XJO @ 6000 is pricing this.
