Correct - just as they always have for cash vs EFTPOS vs CC (except for utilities & some smaller local cafes/convenience stores & others happy to deal with customers questioning them to explain).
Consumers 'subsidising' others happens all the time - & I believe a transaction cost is an accepted cost to pay by the consumer, but it wouldn't be accepted as an 'on top of the price' charge en masse. Hence it should be incorporated, & discounting etc should be applied on a needs basis by the retailer.
Online only retailers don't have cash as an acceptance option, so its no issue there anyway, except maybe CC vs Afterpay customer subsidisation.
