sepsis test.... i am not really following that side of things but if you have sepsis thats a bacterial infection, one of many, and to know which bug is important. klebsiella, pneumococcus, strep, the list goes on. To know which antibiotic might work you need to know which bug it is, then 2 days later you can test for sensitivities to a range of drugs in vitro and fine tune your therapy options.....
so the critical useful step is step one, if you can nail that in 10 minutes thats quite a bit of time vs a microscopist looking at a slide, esp in remote locations. I dont think that is your q though...pls elaborate.
