FBR will destroy some bricklaying jobs in WA while creating a lot of other jobs. FBR has said that they want to employ bricklayers to be the operators of HX, which is brilliant in that it creates less supply of bricklayers at the same time.
FBR will destroy bricklaying jobs in other parts of the world and will transfer those jobs to Perth as engineering type jobs. The government should be fully supportive of FBR. The alternative is that SAM or some other technology transfers bricklaying jobs from here to another country.
