What this would mean is wealth generated by the airline industry would be distributed more effectively around Australia instead of executives pockets.
The mining industry amongst others could lease its own plane from Boeing or whoever, not need to charter and run its own routes separately publicly to cover costs using staff from the biding process monitored by CASA and Air Services Australia among others. The government could buy its own plane like mining and run it around similarly at cheaper taxpayer cost. No need for absurd payment subsidies to other airlines propping up unviable routes
This would mean better use of resources and more opportunity for all participants because those involved get exposed to the mining industries and other industries and the opportunities it presents instead of being pigeon holed in a corporate controlled role.
The best performers would be able to shine allowing greater wealth creation and prosperity for Australia and its citizens.
So as far as job keeper goes, if the government continues to prop up a currently poor performing airline industry they are crazy!!
