Thanks for articulating this. This is definitely one of the most overused and abused Buffet quotes of all time.

People seem to apply it in almost any context. However, it really only applies to stocks that have been irrationally overbought or oversold, not those whose share price has declined rapidly over a period of time because the underlying business model is fundamentally flawed, and the company is careering towards imminent bankruptcy....
