You wondered about “children” being able to manipulate and set fire to tyres. My point was that if “children” ( no matter where they might be) are able to rape, “children” are also able to manipulate and set fire to tyres.
Why do they burn tyres? To roll them towards the border fence hoping to damage it. Also, hoping that the thick black acrid smoke provides cover for others who try to penetrate the border fence.
