dust, they should have increased the pension rate by x dollars a week/fortnight, it's not rocket science my friend. it's not a matter of wait & see, judge later etc. lump sum payments to the poorest in our society is a mistake. plain as the nose on your face.
most of our pensioners are pensioners because in their lifetimes they haven't been able to manage money. so if you can't manage money & you're given a lump sum what happens?
if you can't see or understand this then you certainly shouldn't be governing.
