In the case of this post I'll just point out that Japan isn't a customer of Lynas.
Japanese industry is; and that's a whole heap of companies wanting that NdPr resource that is prioritised to Japanese Industry unless there are better offers.
The likelihood of better offers at the moment?
Pretty small, as the only NdFeB manufacturers of substance ex-China are Japanese.
So let them bid amongst themselves for our NdPr. I'm OK with that.
