In today's 'Australian" Minister Keith Pitt says that Australia needs to support the mining and processing of Rare Earths into the production of magnets for EVs, Wind Turbines, Missiles, Audio loud Speakers and the rest!! As the chinese are threatening to cut off supplies to the US. and all other countries that don't agree with their bloody minded communist approach to taking over the world.
I know that we are not into this technology (yet): But with all our connections with Universities and R&D facilities across the world and since we boast of being experts in materials development. Should we not consider getting into a project of this type that is commercially established with users and potential customers across the world. And will give a shorter term return on funds and with Gov assistance!!!!
The companies we could work with would be:- Northern Minerals; Lynas; Arafura Resourses;
Australian Strategic Materials (can't find them on ASX) are suposedly weighing up the development of processing facilities in OZ.
