    That isn't what they get paid Hotfire, look at Dan's figures. The $140 grand a year figure includes healthcare and pensions. Not future pensions for the employees, they don't put aside money for that. The pensions are for previous employees, for some bizarre reason they add it into their hourly wages for current employees.
    Whatever they do, and the senate changes over in Jan so they're going to pass something regardless of the current shenanigans, the auto states are going to look like a set from mad max in a couple of years. They've already got unemployment around 10% atm, imagine what will happen when they kill off pensions for all the old auto workers.
