Well I had kids...three of them...grown up now....but we got next to nothing from the government while bringing them up. Fair enough...we wanted them and raised them ourselves...A few paltry dollars a fortnight at best. They did get HECS to finance their university - but of course that is a loan and they're paying it off...
I am a little miffed at financing the rest of the country's aspirations while we have to save and work our guts out just to stay even....and get it together for retirement...not to mention care for parents...etc...
I just read they are looking at spending another billion on aboriginal housing in remote communities here in WA....I'd rather they shred it....
