Incorrect again. You don't get charged interest on the 1 day, you get it charged all the way back to the date of purchase, so you lose your entire interest free period because you were 1 day late.
The only way you can be 1 day late with Afterpay is if your linked account doesn't have enough money in it to pay the amount owing. You receive multiple reminders and the payment is deducted automatically so you don't have to do anything.
It's quite sad that you don't understand how either product works.
