You don't even have to put that much money in as you can see in that post. That 10k is now worth close to 150k today. There will be pullbacks but they are buying oppurtunities. You pretty much know if the rookie is worth holding on to the first couple of years... If it doesnt perform in first 3 years cut it loose from the portfolio. You need to be cruel to be kind but give a rookie a good go for 3-5 years.
