If you listen to the audio Q&A with Mr Walta you can hear that the 60 day exclusivity period was not to get the Goro deal done and dusted. It sounded it was more to determine if both parties would proceed past that initial point. I remember him saying another 6 months of work post that.
That is my understanding. I may be wrong...
