the first 14 were in the Ph1b trial, that tested for safety, tolerability and determined the best safe dose for the Ph2.

68 patients are wanted for the Ph2. Highest dose was chosen for the ph2.

Dont confuse a "complete cure" with extension of life with stable cancer, or progression free survival. Yes a complete cure, or 100% remission , can be measured and signed off on for data. However if a patient is still alive, and their tumour burden has not got any worse than baseline measurement at the start, they are still on going and waiting to progress before they can report.

If you can find the recent interview with Axel Hoos, he talks about immuno therapy drugs/ vaccines being capable of giving longer extension of life without the cancer getting any worse, and in some cases for good therapies it could only be 25 % of patients with an outright cure. Aiming for 100% is still a way to go, but if you consider the chemo alone patients survival is only 3 to 4 months, but the HerVax and chemo are giving some complete cures, but majority are surviving for upwards of 12 months or longer that is a really good outcome .

The Ph2 dosed first patients back in March 2019, so if those original patients are fully cured that is fantastic and if they are still alive without any worsening of their cancer since then, 17 months , that is also great... except that is the "Catch 22" LC mentions... the timeframe being measured until they progress can not be signed off on as yet.
