Treating the memory cells as analog elements rather than digital ones, in order to lower power. in-memory computing uses it in the memory. So we take digital data, turn it into analog values using DACs, drive the memories, which have analog contents, with those analog values to get an analog bit-line output, and then we use ADCs to convert that result back into a digital format.
