ANZ stock holders are hiding alright by the looks, little buying. ANZ has been harmed by all this and The stock price has been slaughtered to almost half of what it was, an absolute massacre. So sure Victoria is a mess and may not recover but it has far more chance than Queensland. ANZ should move to a more business oriented location for its HQ and its functionaries.

Great barricades by the Queensland Premier have destroyed the Queensland economy and banks lending into Queensland. Banks like ANZ need to reconsider lends into Queensland, they will probably all go bad.

If the Premier forgets the constitution, puts fake walls up and suggests changes to borders and just overall anarchy, I cannot see how any bank can not reduce the potential recoveries of such lends to zero in the short run and significant discounted recovery in the long run.

ANZ needs to be realistic about the Bolshevik states. Confidence will return to places like Sydney, NSW and perhaps Melbourne but not if business confidence is not restored.
