In the US only 30% of those infected by COVID-19 recover, it’s 49% across the African continent
In the US almost 5% of people die from Covid19, across Africa its 2.2%
Why is everyone worried about Africa?
Now mining production in SA was halted for a month in April due to COVID-19 they were allowed to get back to 50% production after 4 weeks. So seasonally adjusted numbers can be made to look what an economist wants them to look like.
If a bus load of economists went off a cliff the instant demand for parachutes, seasonally adjusted of course, would probably increase the price of those parachutes by 1000% but does it mean anything at all?
