Yes you are kind of correct. Lilac tech produced the chloride. However the pilot plant is with Lilac in California and is being managed by Lilac because they have the money to do so. And yes the pilot plant will produce carbonate in the same way standard Lithium produces both carbonate and chloride. Hence Lilac just needs to produce the carbonate. It is their pilot plant primarily on funding.
Lake have outlined this in their PFS. There is no transport diagram between the chloride solution and carbonate. And as discussed by Steve they are converting the chloride to carbonate from the modules.
