In my view, these people would find ways to charge the Solar exporters down the road.

    https://reneweconomy.com.au/solar-households-may-soon-be-charged-network-fee-for-exports-to-grid-52056/

Doing my accounts and every year Electricity and GAS cost keeps on going up. Technically companies like AGL won't have losses it's just more or less profits, but NSW and others have many mechanisms to supplement those who are under pressure to pay their Electricity bills and up the welfare in this virus period, hence minimising their "bad" debt from people who can't pay. unless there is a break down in their power plant. like Loy Yang A, but they will get a $100m(read news somewhere can't remember the figure i think is $100m) insurance payout this in FY2020-2021

Just like electric cars, down the road, they will find ways to tax electric cars because they are not contributing to the fuel excise tax. Some companies already lowered in victoria the solar feed in tariff from 12cents to 10.2cents many will follow.

So as an individual we can't win, and most "big" money is in these energy or utility companies to milk our money. The only way to hedge against the rising cost is to buy their shares. Just like this Electric Elephant.
