"Working class USA needs a Kennedy-like leader to inspire the working poor and pass laws that will empower the majority of Americans to prosper."
And why can't the USA, Australia, Europe etc produce a Kennedy-like (ie reformist) leader ?
Because there is no economic basis for any reforms. The reforms of the sixties and seventies (healthcare, affordable education, housing and jobs, regulated wages and conditions etc) were based on the rebuilding of Japan and Europe after WW2, trade agreements, the EU and the development of markets in Asia Africa Sth America etc.
All that's over. It's a dog eat dog struggle of every nation to dominate the world economy against their economic rivals. Trade war and war (I am tariff man) dominate everything. The destruction of reforms and wages and regulation cannot let up for a moment lest your rivals get an advantage.
No country can afford reforms, so no more reformist leaders.
