Not at all, my original assertion was that the average German citizen could not have known what was going on in Poland (i.e. the vast majority would have been in the dark). Your response was to mention letters sent back from Poland, which I don't believe would have been received by the vast majority. My comment about "every German citizen" was a rhetorical question to illustrate my point.
Anyway, you're conspicuously not agreeing with my point. Why would the people (even if they received a letter about events in Poland) deserve to be butchered and raped?
