re:manpower - i had heard (and posted here) that during the varanus island thing earlier in the year, several staff were contracted into NMS as their usual employers, the mining industry, were shutdown.
with so many mines bringing output down, it wouldnt surprise NMS is becoming quite choosy who it brings into the fold. so many good engineering types to work in all aspects of the neptune conglomerate.
to steal a line from a former PM, this is the recession we had to have.
