OT: I just don't understand this world wide obsession with gold. In a SHTF period, you cant eat it, it wont keep you warm, you cant keep evil at bay with it and unless you have the ability to stop someone taking it from you by force, it is not much use. If I had the choice between a few ounces or pounds for that matter of gold or FN-FAL and a couple of thousand rounds, I know what I am taking. I am not saying don't trade it, I am not saying I don't trade it, just don't understand how people think owning a chunk of gold is going to get you through the tough times. First up you need to be able to protect yourself and your family, until all the shit is over.

OSP for me today, in and out 3 times last week, holding a decent chunk over the weekend bought on the afternoon "dip" on Friday.
