CleverTrevor, lease rates go up due to lack of supply or high demand. That said, over the years I've noticed the gold price mainly retreats when lease rates rise (i.e high borrowing demand to sell on the spot market). It's been no different this time too during the past few months. The decline in lease rates now occurring is a good omen in my view to supplement the plethora of other evidence presented here. Gold's looking good!
