So the way it works is if you pass all the units at cert 3 level and complete a 4 year apprenticeship you can become a registered plumber That means you can work for someone but you cannot sign off any work Complete another two years at night at cert 4 level plus time on the job and you can apply for your licence Sooo if you’re not against the proper training, you’re not against licensing A licence is just recognition that you have been assessed and completed all training and have been found competent Hope this clears up your concerns Fitters do an apprenticeship ...
