What I want to know is why co2; when the concentration is only between 0.035 - 0.04%. Why not O2 or N2 which have higher concentrations in our atm, ie. O2 - 21%, N2 - 78%.
But I do know why! It is very simple to a child or someone who thinks in a similar way. If you burn something then what is produced must be a pollutant! What they don't realise is that the result is a recycling process of a very important element carbon, in the form of co2. Putting back into the atm what was taken out in the first place! Particularly in the case of fossil fuels! Even though there may be a lapse of 100's of millions of years.
It is co2 that makes plant life flourish.
A problem with co2, is that it is sometimes difficult for plants to get sufficient. So increasing co2 concentrations are beneficial not harmful, which is why I find it amusing that the so called “greens” amongst us in society who want everything to be green are by wanting reductions in co2 levels, in fact contributing to the complete opposite! Amazing, isn’t it! How, the mind thinks or does not think!
Co2 is produced by just about every thing - even a compost heap at the bottom of your garden. Does this mean we ban composting, mowing, gardening, growing trees that drop their Autumn leaves (they compost too).
It's beyond belief that many have been hoodwinked into believing this rubbish!
