dentons, IGR has not had a few false starts on production. They've had one, and only one.
Back in 2004, deposits with about 500,000oz of resources were being put into production. Oil was low; wages were low; labour was readily available; so margins were high, even at relatively low gold prices.
IGR's decision to defer production at that time was extremely controversial. In fact, I personally cursed and kicked the cat, then sold out, based on that decision.
After IGR not only found more oz's at their existing prospects, but discovered entirely new deposits like Salt Creek and the stock ran to 80c, I thought I'd lost my chance forever.
However, IGR is now back at the levels I was buying it in 2004, when they had a few hundreds of thousands of oz's of resources, rather than millions.
Is IGR a bargain?
