yet casualisation is not what many nurses or other workers want. You can't get a mortgage easily working casual because you have no job security, you get no sick leave so you're more inclined to go to work when you're crook, there's no rec leave and its harder to save because some weeks there's little work and other weeks you have to work every shift you can get.

Also with the health care arrangment the nurses who are permanent part time can actually choose to enlist for casual shifts with relevant facilitators so it is a supplemntary income for them
