Yes of course the world is changing. Some changes suit some people but not others. However when your choices become limited to the least desirable option with lower pay and no security of employment, it makes life difficult and, overall, damages the economy due to the effects that I raised above and many more besides.
Howard and Abbott's responsibility is because they moved the legislation that resulted in these practices being adopted by business here in Aus. Its possible that some other leader may have made these changes if H&A hadn't done so, but as they did do it it is their responsibility.
I've read plenty enough of business interviews to understand that its not wages so mach as other factors which influence business to move production to Asia or wherever. Sure it can be a factor and for some the deciding factor but this shouldn't be over-generalised.
