Perhaps, but then again he's pretty shrewd and might just want to buy SDV outright and consequently secure a future Li supply for say 1m EVs per year (circa 50ktpa LCE) at a cost (including purchase and project capex) of somewhere around $5k per tonne... and then also be immune to future LCE price hikes too...
That wouldn't be so good for us GXY shareholders!
Perhaps he would just support the build in exchange for discounted offtake..? Plenty of possibilities.
Still a buyer's market, but worth a chat, yes.
