Furthermore, my experience tells me that when you see such careful price management like this over extended periods i.e such as last 30 trading days - that bidding premiums get built around the use of suppressed average closing prices/capitalisation for this period. It makes holders feel a low ball offer (+50% premium) is 'a fair price' given the recent trading. - it certainly happens a lot with ASX takeovers on companies that hold large open registries. To Jamesabbott's point....the seemingly happy exchange of such large volumes today may suggest a 'friendly' lowball offer might be forthcoming. (As Corgi has well demonstrated it's not without recent precedent in the region.) We have seen some options being converted by directors pretty early to maturity in recent times as well - another very encouraging sign you would think.
Certainly, all IMO, DYOR, - this could all be and probably is very fanciful thinking.
