Over the past few days we've seen the Nickel price rise and fall , the last couple days at has been at just below $4.50/lb ($10,080/t) and at the time of writing this note it is at $4.4324 ($9,929/t).

According to Albidon's last note to the market, their operating costs for the March 2009 quarter is $5/lb and they are expecting to reduce that to below $4/lb through the course of 2009 as they ramp up to full production.

One wonders how different things would be if the Nickel price were to return to $10/lb, as it was just six months ago.
