you know a part of me wishes they would reinflate all this sh!t, that the past year was just a dream. There was no fraudulent rating of poor quality mortgage debt that was repackaged, sold globally and leveraged against. There was no such thing as a credit default swaps or quant funds. That Bush used several trillion USDs, not to make war with Iraq and Afganistan, but to fund a free energy initiative that solved the worlds reliance on fossil fuel and powered cheap water extraction which transformed the limits of human habitation.
But it was all real. The year is over and if they were to reinflate this mess so it all felt "right" again and we could just go on trading as normal, it would be our children that pay, or their children. Feck that.
Bring on the Depression. Lets get it over with. I've decided to try and teach my daughter a skill a week. Maybe I'll learn something.
